DEVELOPMENT & ALUMNI AFFAIRS
Our founder's vision of personal commmitment, compassion, and outreach is brilliantly alive at Maru-a-Pula. In order to continue to lead secondary education in Botswana, we must nurture citizen-leaders who have a global vision. Our students must be able to bridge the gap between local needs and international expertise. The time for action is now.

We have a superb foundation but we must build on that foundation. Our challenge is threefold:
  1. To match Maru-a-Pula's academic rigour with world-class facilities that are properly secured and maintained, especially in our classrooms, science laboratories, school library, and IT network.
  2. To increase access for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a particular focus on academically-able orphans.
  3. To expand our offerings and community outreach in sports and the performing arts.
To meet these challenges, we need to launch the Maru-a-Pula Appeal. Our recently completed Strategic Plan provides a clear and bold blueprint for the future. Each of us - each ex-student, each parent, each friend of the school - can contribute, can help answer this urgent call. Each of us has gifts - of energy, ideas, and resources - we can offer.

"We all drink from boreholes we did not dig." It is our turn to dig deep so that future generations will benefit.

We invite you to share our vision of Maru-a-Pula in the years to come.
